What You Need to Know
Browse this FAQ list to find answers to questions about our event and our community. We’ve tried to include everything, but if you still have unknowns as you’re getting acquainted, don’t hesitate to get in touch. When is the last day I can register?
To guarantee your place please book as early as possible. Events can fill up quickly. If an event is fully booked but you would like to join the waiting list, please send the team a message
What is your refund policy?
Is Evasion! suitable for all ages?
Participation in Evasion! is only open to those over the age of 18 on the day of the event.
If you cancel 30 days or more in advance of the event then you will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a £20 administration charge. Unfortunately there is no refund possible for cancellations within 30 days. Evasion! requires a lot of planning and often suppliers are paid a long time in advance of an event.
What if I get injured before the event?
Have you considered being part of Hunter Force? Hunter Force is (or can be!) less strenuous than evading. Sitting in a vehicle with a cup of coffee, working out where the evaders are likely to be then setting up an observation post may still be possible? Talk to the organisers to find out options.
Do I have to be camouflaged?
No, but we definitely recommend it! Being fully camouflaged gives a huge advantage. Do it right and you are almost invisible from dusk to dawn. What should I take with me?
You may be moving through wild/rural/remote areas at night. There is a risk associated with this this activity. As such you will be required to take a selection of mandatory kit for your own safety.

What if I do not have a team?
Evasion! is based around evading teams of four or five people. Teams of three are the absolute minimum for an evading team. If you wish to enter on your own (or in a pair) we will endeavour to match you up with another team, or you are welcome to join Hunter Force.
Will I sleep during the event?
This is extremely unlikely if you are an Evader. You might think you will feel sleepy but the adrenaline flowing through your veins will keep you alert. Hunters might have a little snooze as they guard a possible chokepoint at 3am... but then will they wake when Evaders try to sneak by...?
Can I be part of Hunter Force?
Absolutely.
Evasion! offers two games in one. Be an "Evader" or a "Hunter".
Evading is generally more physical. You must stay on foot; walking, running, crawling and hiding for up to fourteen hours. You may be carrying a daysack with food, clothes and other kit.
Hunting, however, can be undertaken in vehicles, on foot, on bikes. Maybe a sleeping bag on the back seat to catch a power nap at a quiet time. Maybe you have binoculars? Night vision? Thermal camera? Bring it on!
